A great film that highlights the voice of a kind, forthright, intelligent, and passionate woman named May Pang, centered around her relationship with John Lennon. It is evident she cares deeply about John, which adds to her narrative credibility. The film does not feel selfishly driven, but rather is an honest portrayal of a major relationship in her life. The film is propelled through her affectionate stories and intimate photographs, many of which hadn’t been widely seen or heard of. Even if you are a dedicated Beatles fan, you will definitely find intriguing and interesting details and photos in this movie. A notable component of this film is May’s lasting relationship with John’s son, Julian, and the reasons behind their affinity for one another; it is a particularly touching thing to witness. I also commend May for speaking the truth on the complicated and often misrepresented narrative of John and Yoko’s relationship. May is not vitriolic towards Yoko but is admirably blunt in the depiction of her character. Overall, the love May feels for John is still palpable, and her warmth and plucky personality are infused into the film. I highly recommend watching it!
